Are table reservation necessary for evening dining?

Evening dining is subject to reservations and should be booked
with Dining Concierge (dining@o2beachclubbarbados.com) up to two or three days in advance.

What are the sustainability practices at the hotel, and can we help?

By taking some steps our hotel guests can play a part in promoting sustainability and protecting the environment during their stay with us.

  • Reduce energy consumption: Turn off lights, turn off air conditioning when the sliding doors are open, and turn off other electronics when not in use.
  • Save water: Take shorter showers, reuse towels, and don't let the tap run while brushing teeth or shaving.
  • Reduce waste: Use reusable water bottles instead of disposable ones, avoid single-use plastics, and recycle whenever possible.
  • Support local businesses: Choose local restaurants and shops to support the local economy and reduce carbon emissions from transportation.
  • Eco-friendly options: Our hotel prioritizes sustainability and eco-friendliness, by using renewable energy sources, recycling and even the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products.
  • Rent electric cars: there are several companies in Barbados that offer electric cars for rent.  Additionally, there is a charging station located at O2 Beach Club & Spa and there are charging stations throughout the island to support the use of electric vehicles.
  • Leave no trace: Respect the environment and don't litter or damage the natural areas when exploring Barbados.

Does O2 Beach Club & Spa help with special dietary requirements/restrictions?

We strive to exceed the expectations for guests who have special dietary requirements.  Please ensure that you notify us when your reservation is made. We are also  happy to arrange a personal meeting with our chef , just ask on arrival. We trust that our personal attention to detail will shine through as we live our 'Your Way Your stay' anthem.

What happens if I have to Cancel?

If you cancel outside of the Penalty Period (detailed below), 100% of the deposit will be refunded less a US$25 processing fee. 
If the cancellation is received within the Penalty Period (detailed below), 100% of the deposit will be forfeited.

What are the check-in and check-out times at O2 Beach Club & Spa?

The Check-in time at O2 Beach Club & Spa is 4 pm. The Check-out time is 11 am. Luggage and large items may be stored with the bellman if you arrive prior to check-in or depart after check-out. Early Check ins and late check-outs are subject to availability and may incur an additional cost.

I am travelling in a large party. Can we all sit together every night?

A maximum seating of 8 persons is allowed per table for dinner and must be pre-booked at least 24 hours in advance.

I want to plan my dining experiences. Can I make a table reservation in advance, for every night of my stay?

Guests can make a maximum of 2 dinner table reservations prior to arrival.  Additional bookings can be made upon arrival at the hotel.

Can I arrange a late check-out?

A late check-out can (only) be confirmed on the departure day, as it is based on availability. Also please note that it maybe necessary for you to move into another room (subject to that day's arrivals).  If a late check-out is confirmed there is a fee of USD$40 per hour after 11:00 AM.

Which Rooms have Bathtubs?

Our Luxury Oceanfront Junior Suite has a luxurious free-standing soaker tub in the bathroom as well as a spacious deluxe rainfall shower.  Our Deluxe Club room also has a bathtub and large rainfall shower.

Can I order Room Service?

Room Service is available at O2 Beach Club & Spa between 11:00 AM and 9:30 PM (last order 9.30 PM) and there is a Tray Charge of US$20.00.

What payment types are accepted by O2 Beach Club & Spa?

O2 Beach Club & Spa accepts VISA, MasterCard and Amex. Your choice of credit card will be charged according to the payment terms detailed at the time of your reservation.

Are the Whirlpools, on the Sun Deck, heated?

Our Whirlpool tubs are heated by the sun and are usually a very warm temperature, on cloudy days you might find that the water temperature is a little 'refreshing'.

What currency is used in Barbados?

The official currency of Barbados is Barbadian dollars and we can exchange foreign currency to Barbadian dollars at the Front Desk of the hotel. The Barbados dollar is converted at the rate of 2:1 to the US dollar. You can withdraw cash at any one of the many ATMs on the island and you can use US dollars everywhere in Barbados but you’ll get your change in Barbados dollars.

Please remember that some banks require you, prior to departure, to provide the dates that you'll be traveling to Barbados, in order to have easy access to your credit cards while away.

How does Tipping work in an All Inclusive?

We are happy to advise that at O2 Beach Club & Spa a service charge is already included in your All-Inclusive room rate and the total amount goes directly to the hotel and back of house staff monthly. We truly believe that they are integral to your experience and it's only right that they receive this contribution. However, if you feel you have had extra special service, you may tip hotel staff directly.  Alternatively, you may choose to leave a team gratuity by handing an envelope to the Front Desk Manager labeled as such, and this will be shared with all hotel and back-of-house staff members.

Is O2 Beach Club & Spa an all-inclusive resort?

O2 Beach Club & Spa is an All-Inclusive hotel. The daily room rate includes all-day gourmet dining, premium label drinks and all house brand beverages, complimentary daily 'How To' classes, non-motorized water sports and a bottle of bubbly and beach bag on arrival. Book a Luxury or Concierge Suite for 4 nights or more and get free round-trip airport transfers, free golf, daily stocked mini-bar. All rates include Taxes and Service Charge (except Barbados Tourism Levy).

What is the legal drinking age in Barbados?

The legal drinking age in Barbados is 18 years. It is illegal in Barbados to sell or supply alcoholic beverages to persons under 18 years

What is the Barbados Tourism Levy?

The Room Rate Levy is part of the Barbados Government fiscal measures to help stabilise the country’s economy. The Government imposed Room Rate Levy is US 9.63 / BDS 19.25 per bedroom, per night and is payable directly at the resort.

Is it really Unlimited Access to Sea Breeze Beach House?

Absolutely, if you book a luxury suite or higher there are no restrictions to the number of visits to Sea Breeze Beach House.  However, as you can appreciate, it is always subject to availability and at times of very high occupancy and special occasions it may be unavailable or restricted to a set number of people per day or evening. 

Are there Tennis Courts in Barbados?

We recommend the Tennis Courts at Turtle Beach.  Turtle Beach is next door to O2 Beach Club & Spa and is only a couple of minutes walk.  The prices below are a guide:

What is the daytime dress attire at the resort?

Casual attire is appropriate throughout the day. Swimwear must be covered up and shoes, sandals or flip-flops are required in the lobby and our restaurants.

What is the evening dress attire at the restaurants at O2 Beach Club & Spa?

SMART RESORT CASUAL (except for Oro Restaurant)
For ladies, dresses, skirts, cotton or linen dress slacks or shorts, dressy blouses, heels, or sandals.  Men's clothing should include a shirt with a collar, polo-style shirt, long trousers/slacks /smart jeans or smart shorts, sandals, shoes, loafers or top-siders.

What is the evening dress attire at the Oro Restaurant


The dress code at Oro is elegant resort attire. Gentlemen are requested to wear a shirt with a collar or a polo-style shirt, long pants/trousers, loafers or top-siders.  Sports jackets are optional.  Ladies are requested to dress to impress and wear dresses, skirts, dressy blouses & slacks with heels or evening sandals. 

Are Table Reservations required at the Oro Restaurant

Oro Restaurant table reservations are required and are accepted within two weeks of your arrival. Reservations can be made online: dining@O2beachclubbarbados.com However to allow all guests to enjoy the Oro experience, a limit on the number of table reservations per group may be required based on your length of stay and during periods of high occupancy.

What is the weather like in Barbados?

The climate in Barbados is tropical with temperatures ranging from 25 – 30 degrees Celsius / 77 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The wet Season is from June through November, and the dry season is from December through May. Brief heavy showers are common throughout the year. We call that Liquid Sunshine!

How many weddings a day are there at O2 Beach Club & Spa

We guarantee only one wedding per day across the entire Ocean Hotels Barbados Group ensuring the utmost attention to detail, and customisable wedding packages.

What is the worry free hurricane guarantee?

Fortunately, Barbados has a very low risk of hurricanes as the island is located outside of the hurricane belt. Historically, most named Hurricanes were not formed hurricanes, but only tropical depressions passing 60 miles or so from Barbados causing minimal effects.

Is there an ATM on property?

There is a very convenient ATM located just a very short 2 min walk away

What are the age restrictions at O2 Beach Club & Spa?


Guest must be 18 years or older to reserve a room or to drink alcohol. There are specially dedicated 'Adult Only' areas on property for guests who are over 17 yrs old these include the River Pool and the Brisa Pool and Deck and accessing the Sun Terrace. You must be 17 years or over to stay in our Club Rooms and Luxury Suites.

Does O2 Beach Club & Spa have parking for hotel and Spa day visitors and non-hotel guests?

Limited onsite parking is by Reception and the Concierge Building
Additional parking is available in 2nd Ave Dover
3rd Ave Dover may be used to return to O2 Beach Club & Spa on foot

Does O2 Beach Club & Spa have parking for hotel guests?

Yes, there is complimentary parking available for guests. There is also a Electric Car charge port for your convenience.

Can we drink tap water in Barbados?

Tap water is perfectly safe to drink in Barbados as the island as the coral stone acts as a natural filter. We encourage our guests by offering the local tap water as our still water offering as this is also part of our sustainability policy to avoid bringing unnecessary amounts of bottled water (and its corresponding packaging) onto the island. However, bottled water and internationally branded sparkling water is available on request.

Does O2 Beach Club & Spa have a child policy?

Luxury Collection Suites are adults only and cannot accept infants or children

Are cots available for infants?

Complimentary cots can be requested in advance of your stay through guestservices@oceanhotels.bb. Please note that other than a cot, we are unable to place additional beds inside the rooms.

Does your hotel offer room accommodations for the physically challenged?

All public areas are completely wheelchair accessible, and we strive to provide the best for all of our O2 Beach Club & Spa guests. While the hotel does not have any specific handicap rooms, the showers have a small 2” step to enter and we can provide handicap shower chairs for guests on request. Please contact us directly to see how we can make your stay more comfortable.

Do I need an electricity adapter?

The resort has a voltage capacity of 110V for U.S. and Canadian electric razors, hair dryers and other standard electrical equipment used in guest rooms. All European appliances require an adapter.

Can I pre-arrange to have flowers or a bottle of Champagne delivered at O2 Beach Club & Spa?

All of our restaurants welcome children and offer a children's menu.

How can I make dinner reservations at O2 Beach Club & Spa?

To make dinner reservations within 14 days of your arrival, please contact dining@o2beachclubbarbados.com. Also, on the evening of your arrival a dinner reservation will be made for you. Following this you are able to make dining reservations the next morning with our guest services team.

Transfers and Taxi

O2 Beach Club & Spa is approximately a 15 minute drive from the airport. One roundtrip airport transfer per booking to and from the resort is offered complimentary for guests who book direct on our official website for stays of four nights or more by contacting guestservices@o2beachclubbarbados.com

Should members of your group arrive and depart Barbados at different times, please provide the name of the individual(s) who will be using the free transfer and their arrival and departure flight details.  Our representative, identifiable by a sign displaying their name, will be ready to greet them outside of the arrivals hall at the airport.

Should airport transfers be required beyond the complimentary service, we are pleased to make the arrangements and advise the additional costs.   Taxis are also readily available at Barbados Grantley Adams Airport. 

Weather and Travel Delays

Fortunately, Barbados has a very low risk of hurricanes as the island is located outside of the hurricane belt. Historically, most named Hurricanes were not formed hurricanes, but only tropical depressions passing 60 miles or so from Barbados causing minimal effects..

However guests are advised to have comprehensive travel insurance in place for such unexpected circumstances. In the event of official airline delays or cancellations for whatever reason that might result in guest arrival a day or more later than planned, O2 Beach Club & Spa will offer guest a voucher to the value of the nights rate towards an extended or future stay.

In the event of an official severe weather system warning issued for the island of Barbados resulting in closed airports or cancelled flights, O2 Beach Club & Spa will waive the cancellation penalty and provide a voucher to the value of the full deposit paid towards a future stay. All vouchers for future stays are valid for 1 year from the original booking date.

Tourism Fund

Please note an optional donation to the Tourism Fund of Barbados will be applied to your account of US$1 per day which allows guests "give back" to the island in a direct and meaningful way. This donation is at the discretion of the guest and can be accepted or declined at check out. For more information on the tourism fund please visit BHTA Tourism Fund.

Deposit Policy

For guests whom have booked direct with us the following deposit policies are applicable.

A three night deposit is required to secure your reservation, with the balance of payment to be made upon check in to O2 Beach Club & Spa.

Full payment is required in order to secure your reservation, and this payment is non-refundable, non-modifiable and non-transferable.
For guests that have booked through a third party travel agent or tour operator, please contact them directly to confirm their deposit policies.

Room & Bed Request Policy

Please note room requests and bedding configuration requests are not guaranteed, however we will do our best to try and accommodate requests. Requests are to be sent to stay@oceanhotels.bb.

Pack for a Purpose

We are committed to being a responsible corporate and community citizen and are proud members of Pack for a Purpose, an initiative that allows travelers like you to make a lasting impact in the community of Barbados. If you save just a few kilos of space in your suitcase and bring supplies for the less fortunate you'll make a priceless impact in the lives of our local children and families. On arrival just hand over the supplies to us and we will deliver them to the Charity on your behalf.  

Deposit by Credit Card

Please note that the credit card used to make the booking and pay any deposits must be presented at the time of check-in with proof of ID (both photographic and signature).

Guest Incidental Authorization Policy

There is a mandatory incidental deposit taken at check in by either credit card or via a cash deposit. Guests are recommended to activate signing privileges by allowing a deposit of US$250.00 to be authorized on their card or they can decline this service and deposit a fixed amount of US$250 in cash. All unused amounts of the deposit will be refunded on departure.

Early Check Out Policy

If a guest wishes to check out from the hotel early, the refund will be based on the total stayed room nights plus 3 unused nights. The balance of the reservation will be refunded to the guest, if the reservation was made directly with the hotel. If this was done through a tour operator, then the refund will be done through the tour operator.

Please note - If you've made a non-refundable reservation, there will be no refund provided for early check-outs.

Smoking Policy

All areas of the hotel are non-smoking, this includes in all rooms and suites, balconies, corridors, public areas, restaurant and bars. Failure to comply will result in a US$250 charge to your guest account. 

There are designated smoking areas with signs at the hotel.

What are the COVID protocols at O2 Beach Club & Spa

All COVID protocols have been removed from the hotel and the island.  However, the wearing of masks by guests and staff still remains optional.  To maintain good public hygiene we still recommend that guests wash their hands frequently and also use the hand sanitising stations at the entry to the buffet areas.

I need a COVID test to go home. Can O2 Beach Club & Spa arrange this?

Yes, kindly note that the Barbados Covid Lab is able to provide both Rapid Antigen and PCR testing at O2 Beach Club & Spa daily from 1:00pm to 2:00pm each day and will do so during those hours once appointments have been scheduled for the day by booking on this link https://www.barbadoscovidlab.com/ocean-hotels/ . Please note that the booking window closes the night before testing, so persons are advised to schedule their tests at least one day before they require their test results.
