TIPPING AT AN ALL-INCLUSIVE?

We'll Tell You How It Works

At O2 Beach Club & Spa, we recently enjoyed some high praise on TripAdvisor from Happy Feet Traveller , who called their review “A Wonderful 25th Anniversary Celebration” .

“My husband and I had a great 10 days at O2... Quite simply, it was one of the best all-inclusive hotels we’ve ever stayed at... Firstly, we really must mention the wonderful staff. Goodness knows how the hotel manages to pick such professional, helpful, smiley people but they do!

A big shout out to those we came into contact with most – Ché, Shantelle, Rico, Shaniya, Anthony, Yvonne, Shakira, Shaquez, Dwayne, Omarian, Dean and Dean, Destiny, Tamara, Claudia, Abigail, Che, Makaya, Davashi and Abigail.”

Such compliments reminded us of one of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on our website: Is it ok to leave a tip at an all-inclusive, and how do you go about it?

At O2 Beach Club & Spa, your room rate includes a service charge of which a fixed percentage goes to the front and back of house staff directly every month. We sincerely believe that they are integral to your experience, not incidental to it, and it's absolutely fitting that they receive this contribution.

We're proud of our amazing team and the excellent service they offer our guests, so we understand why they often want to show their appreciation with a tip for the staff. In the FAQ section, we explain it as follows:

Please note that a service charge for staff (tips/gratuity) is already included in your room rate. However, if you feel you have had extra special service, you may tip hotel staff directly.

Alternatively, you may choose to leave a team gratuity by handing an envelope to the Front Desk Manager labeled as such, and this will be shared with all hotel and back-of-house staff members.

So go ahead and feel free to tip the staff at any of the Ocean Hotels Barbados property. You can rest assured that they will sincerely appreciate the gesture.
